PORTVILLE — Twelve current Portville Central School graduates received awards totaling $3,550 from the Portville Faculty Scholarship Fund, managed by the Cattaraugus Location Neighborhood Basis.

The fund, established by Portville University Scholarships, will make feasible scholarships for learners who volunteer at the school retail outlet or once-a-year Portville University Scholarship phonathon fundraiser.

The subsequent students received awards this yr: Roland Thompson, $750 Maddison Schoonover, $600 Layne Stephen, $500 Kassidy Gehm, $300 Karly Welty, $250 · Harley Robinson, $250 Julian Morales, $200 Autumn Gagliardo, $200 Shayla Wilhelm, $150 Jillian Hlasnick, $150 Reece Swetland, $100 and Renee Prepare dinner, $100.

Cook dinner will show up at Jamestown Community College or university to examine nursing, Swetland will study visible media arts at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Hlasnick will show up at SUNY Cortland to examine organization.

Robinson will review forensic science at Alfred Condition Higher education, Welty will analyze felony justice with a slight in business enterprise at Alfred College and Gehm designs to analyze bodily remedy at Daemen College or university.

Stephen will show up at St. Bonaventure to review accounting,  Schoonover will study pre-nursing at Jamestown Local community College or university in Jamestown and Thompson will examine hefty gear functions at Alfred Condition.
